The GHMS Annual General Meeting will be held on March 28, 2026, 1:30-3:30 pm at the Community Hall, lower level. Doors are open at 1:15. Please enter by the side door.
Please come early to register; the film starts at 1:30 pm, and the business meeting at 2:15 pm. The AGM and film are open to the public but only current museum members can vote during the business meeting. Memberships can be taken out or renewed during registration or renew/join online before the meeting.
Only current members will be sent the draft 2025 AGM minutes, 2026 AGM agenda, financial reports and other AGM documents.
Refreshments (tea/coffee/water) will be provided.
1:30 pm – The Land Provides
Public Film Screening: The Land Provides, speaks to stories of Gabriola’s roots – Indigenous, settlers, farming & markets, families and innovators, and stories of harvesting food, building community, and connecting to the Land on Gabriola. The film highlights the beauty and uniqueness of our community and how Gabriola has met the spiritual & physical needs of its inhabitants over the years. This documentary was produced by filmmaker, Tobi Elliott, for the Gabriola Historical and Museum Society and features interviews with Elder Geraldine Manson and many well-known local islanders.
