Advertised as the most difficult marathon in the world, the Inca Trail Marathon requires the runner to maneuver their way through rocky, up and down steep terrain while coping in altitudes of 14,000’ plus.
Tina Lynch and Lesley Hazeldine heard about this gruelling run through fellow runner Steve Elder whose long-time friend Devy Reinsten was the race organizer. It didn’t take much convincing for them to sign up. Why not? Then began a harsh eight month training program to prepare for what turned out to be one of the most physically challenging runs of their lives.
Come hear them recount the trials and tribulations of this amazing event.
