The Museum is located on South Road near the Lockinvar Lane intersection. It is a 1.2 km walk or a short drive up the hill from the ferry dock at Descanso Bay.
There is free parking behind the Museum with accessible parking space. Free parking along South Road is also available.
Visitors arriving on foot can contact the Gertie Community Bus or the Gabriola Taxi.

Cafes, shops, a gas station, grocery store, liquor store, and other services are located at the Village on North Road, a few hundred metres north of the Museum.

Gabriola Island (population 4,500) is in the Salish Sea, between Vancouver Island and mainland BC, approximately 5 km (3 miles) east of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.
Gabriola is easily reached by a 20 minute BC Ferry ride from downtown Nanaimo, or a 15 minute float plane ride from Vancouver. More info on Gabriola
Admission
Admission to the Museum is by donation. Donations can be given in cash (Donation Box) or by card at the Gift Shop when you arrive.
